Dawn Robinson, CFRE

Executive Vice President

“People often refer to heroes as historical figures, athletes, and astronauts; but I’m fortunate to work with heroes every day—they are the men and women who work tirelessly for the not-for-profit organizations, causes, and missions they truly believe in.”

Dawn brings more than two decades of experience in the philanthropic sector and a deep belief in the power of mission-driven work to strengthen communities. As Executive Vice President at Cramer & Associates, she advises a wide range of organizations, from emerging nonprofits to established foundations managing more than $100 million in assets. Her clients include social service agencies, arts organizations, community foundations, animal welfare groups, and Catholic schools across Ohio, including St. Charles Preparatory School, Bishop Hartley High School, and St. Francis de Sales School in Toledo.

Her work spans the full arc of organizational growth. Dawn develops strategic fundraising and development plans, facilitates strategic planning and board retreats, and helps nonprofits move from vision to action. She is equally comfortable guiding organizations through their first major campaign as she is advising on multi-million-dollar capital initiatives.

One of her recent accomplishments includes advising the Humane Society of Greater Dayton on its $6 million capital campaign, which led to the construction of three life-saving facilities, including a full-service veterinary hospital serving the broader community. Dawn also leads the creative direction of fundraising collateral at Cramer, producing modern cases for support, one-pagers, and campaign materials that engage donors and drive action. An early adopter of AI tools, she uses emerging technology to strengthen nonprofit storytelling and streamline creative workflows.

Dawn holds a degree from Arizona State University and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a BoardSource-certified nonprofit board educator, and a Working Genius facilitator. Beyond her professional work, Dawn’s love of animals has shaped her life as much as her career. She has volunteered with Canine Companions for Independence for more than 20 years and has supported the Humane Society of Greater Dayton as a donor since 2016. She is a board member of Pet FBI and has volunteered with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. She lives in Dublin, Ohio, with her beloved CCI release dog, Orla.
