Mike Schmidt brings energy and creativity to every consulting project. He develops comprehensive plans of action that help our partners reach their goals today and grow in the future.
Since 1995, Mike has served our partners with enthusiasm, letting curiosity guide him. He knows that fundraising success is the result of many people working together, so he develops strategies that engage various facets of an organization. One of Mike’s career highlights was working with the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to facilitate a feasibility study and comprehensive campaign. With his guidance, the Zoo far exceeded their $25 million goal. In the spring of 2022, he was also a part of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Dayton’s campaign. His leadership-focused strategy helped RMHC Dayton secure their largest-ever single donation of $13 million.
Mike has made education and lifelong learning a cornerstone of his career. He is a graduate of the AAFRC Consultant’s Academy and a Certified Fund Raising Executive. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi.
When he is not serving our partners, Mike is serving his community in Granville, where he lives with his wife Dawn and their two children. He has served on the boards of the Midland Theatre, the Granville Public Library and the Granville Community Foundation. He is an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Granville.
